Bradford pharmacy sold to local first-time buyer

Kirkgate Pharmacy in Bradford, West Yorkshire, has been sold to new entrant Kirkgate Pharma for an undisclosed price.

The standard-hours community pharmacy dispenses approximately 7,250 items per month and provides extended services including a travel clinic, flu vaccinations and prescription deliveries. It is located on Darley Street in central Bradford, in an area undergoing regeneration. The business has been owned by Ibrar Khan since 2020 and was brought to market to allow him to focus on his other pharmacy businesses in Leeds and Wakefield.

A spokesperson for Kirkgate Pharma said: "I am delighted to have acquired Kirkgate Pharmacy in the heart of Bradford. With the city centre undergoing significant regeneration, I believe this is an exciting time to invest in Bradford and build on the pharmacy's strong foundations."

The sale was facilitated by Christie & Co.
